Moving...Lack of Sleep...and More Clay Creations

Sleep.  I'm not familiar with the concept.  Apparently I don't need to sleep anymore because I've been awake for 33 hours straight now with no sleep on the horizon.  I did manage to read an entire novel during the night though.  I go through this occasionally but it's really not good timing.  We're leaving for Hawaii tomorrow.  I have to finish packing up the house because we're moving the day after we return. (I'm pretty sure the stuff is jumping back out of the box at night)  And I go back to a secular job the following day.  A little shut-eye would do wonders for me - and there it is.  My disclaimer for whatever nonsensical writing follows.

The weather has been crazy for us So. Californians.  Rain, thunder, lightning, heavy winds, hail for five days straight.  I know so many of you live in states or countries where you actually have seasons and suffer with snow and cold and rain for months on end.  Hats off to you.  I find it a wee bit gloomy.  It's quite embarassing though because the TV news makes a big production out it.  "Storm Watch 2010"  We don't know the meaning of the word storm.  Just thought I'd mention that.

Because of the gloomy weather I decided to make something bright and cheerful.  This is what I came up with:

And here's another box that was a custom order:    I decided it would be cute with a hawain girl so I painted the hula girl.  Isn't she cute?
I'm so excited to go to Hawaii where it's warm and sunny.  Also becase that's where Deco Clay Academy headquarters is.  I can't wait to have a look at the place and am going to stock up on clay!  I will be  leaving the cyerworld behind on this trip but I'll have vacation photos when I get back.  Yippee

Crafting has always been a passion for me. I have yet to stick with any particular medium, as I love to switch it out and try new things. This blog is sort of a testament to that fact. Hope you enjoy...
